The John Mastronardi Memorial Fund made monetary donations to local charities during the 2011 holiday season. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, the Mastronardi committee members distributed checks for $250.00 to two different charity organizations. Receiving the funds were the Stephen’s Ministry and the Lincoln School Christmas Fund. Both organizations work to help make the holidays special for families in need.
Prior to passing in 1994, John Mastronardi spent several years teaching special education at the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. Teachers and administrators from the Lincoln School have collected donations each year for a Christmas Fund. Money from the Christmas Fund is then allocated to selected families of children from the Lincoln School. It is our hope that the money donated from the Mastronardi Memorial Fund helped to spread holiday cheer and to bring joy to a few families this season.
