Members of the John Mastronardi Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee met on Monday, June 11th, to recognize the 2012 scholarship recipients. Revere High School graduates, Nanci DiLiegro and Jailyn Rodriguez, were each presented with scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00, as well as with commemorative plaques honoring their achievements.
Each year the John Mastronardi Memorial Fund, with assistance from the Revere High School Guidance Department, awards selected graduates with scholarships in memory of John Mastronardi. The scholarship recipients are chosen because of their academic success, in addition to their willingness to pursue a career in the field of Education or Special Education. They are also selected because they best embody the spirit of John Mastronardi, a former Special Education teacher in the Revere Public School System.

DiLiegro will attend Framingham State University this Fall and will major in Education. Rodriguez plans to study Speical Education at Bunker Hill Community College this September. Congratulations to Nanci and Jailyn!
